Nikki Posnack, Ph.D. Is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology within the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at the George Washington University (GW) in Washington DC. She also the co-Director of the Pharmacology and Physiology track within the Integrated Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program.
Dr. Posnack's laboratory investigates the impact of environmental and clinical perturbations on cardiovascular function. Recently, her team has focused on biocompatibility concerns surrounding inadvertent plastic chemical exposure from medical devices. Other projects in the laboratory are focused on red blood cell storage lesion and its role in cardiac complications and evaluating age-dependent responses to pharmacotherapies using both experimental models and a 3D human cardiac tissue model.
