Kenise Morris

Dr. Morris is a triple alumna of George Washington University’s Department of Biomedical Engineering. Her doctoral research, conducted under the guidance of Professor Anne-Laure Papa, focused on understanding platelet and cancer cell physiology in the context of cancer progression. Her dissertation, "Interaction of Circulating Tumor Cells with Platelets: From Physiology to Diagnostics," explored how naturally occurring platelet–cancer cell interactions could be leveraged to develop a novel diagnostic tool for metastasis and potentially identify therapeutic targets. One of her doctoral projects remains active in the lab, with ongoing efforts focused on testing the technology using clinical samples.
