Rodolfo “Rudy” Rodriguez completed a master’s degree with a biomedical engineering emphasis at GW in 1969, and spent his career developing medical devices that helped millions of people and changed the way health care is practiced in the U.S. Now in retirement, he’s developing on-farm diagnostic devices to detect diseases in animals and to change the way farming is practiced. On October 19, Rudy was honored with a 2017 GW Distinguished Alumni Award for his innovations in biomedical engineering.
